My name is David, I am a German designer currently based in southern Germany, having studied, lived and worked in London for six years. My work experience is in architecture and product design practices, developing architectural and interior designs, furniture and lighting designs. Before my Industrial Design studies, I did an apprenticeship in furniture making, thus I am familiar with craftsmanship and production techniques. At Hadi Teherani in Hamburg I gathered experience in designing seating furniture from first sketches to prototype, bringing together shape, ergonomics and construction.

I like to design with a coherent logic but also to create sculptural forms that people can relate to emotionally. In seating furniture, the human body is the measure around which to design, and I have that in mind when a shape materialises with a few sketching lines. I further understand a form through model making and building wireframes in 3D.
